Afran Nisho and Mehazabien Chowdhury, one of country’s most celebrated pairs on TV, are reportedly set to star in an upcoming web film, where they will reunite after a long hiatus.

According to sources, preparations are underway for the new web film, to be directed by acclaimed filmmaker, Vicky Zahed, where the duo is set to return. Although no official announcement has been made, pre-production work has already begun on the yet-to-be-named film. Should all go as planned, the project will be officially unveiled in the coming months, with a tentative release on an OTT platform in December.

Nisho and Mehazabien were well-known for their on-screen chemistry which has earned them widespread acclaim as one of the most popular pairs in Bangladeshi television, previously delivering several memorable productions together, including “Punorjonmo”, “Shilpi”, “Shuklapokkho”, “22nd April”, and “Neel Jol Kabyo”.
Their collaboration on the series, “Punorjonmo” stands out as a major success.

Meanwhile, industry insiders hinted at Mehazabien also being considered an opposing role to Nisho in Raihan Rafi’s “Surongo 2”. The first installment featured Nisho alongside Tama Mirza who played the lead roles, but the sequel is expected to add a new leading lady to the mix.
