Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Houssain Kaikobad today asked all concerned to ensure hassle-free Hajj operations so that no pilgrims face any maltreatment.

He also asked ministry officials to provide all necessary assistance while ensuring that private Hajj agencies carry out their responsibilities with due diligence in serving the pilgrims.

Kaikobad made the remarks while presiding over a meeting at his ministry at the Bangladesh Secretariat.

The meeting was organized to carry out relevant activities, including the allocation of Hajj pilgrim quotas among 30 alliances and lead agencies participating in the 2027 Hajj operations.
The minister also asked the private Hajj agencies to properly fulfill their responsibilities so that no pilgrim suffers or faces difficulties.

If any mistake or shortcoming occurs in any activity, everyone should focus not on blaming one another but on how to resolve the problem quickly and move forward, he said.

Government and private-sector management must work in coordination, and Hajj operations must be conducted in strict compliance with the rules and regulations of Saudi Arabia, he said.

Strict action will be taken if anyone is unnecessarily sent from one office to another or subjected to harassment.

He said the majority of the registered Hajj quota for 2027 will be handled through private Hajj agencies. Therefore, the concerned officials must provide all-out cooperation to facilitate the agencies’ work, he added.

He sought everyone’s cooperation and prayers for the successful completion of the Hajj operations.

State Minister for Religious Affairs Mohammad Shamim Kaiser said according to the preliminary allocation determined by the Saudi government, Bangladesh’s Hajj quota currently stands at 78,500 pilgrims.

Senior officials of the ministry were present.
